Greece battled with thousand wildfires across the city
Wildfires raged uncontrolled through Greece for another day forcing thousands to flee by land and sea, and killing a volunteer firefighter on the fringes of Athens in a huge forest blaze that threatened the Greek capital’s most important national park.The situation is very difficult for Greece!!More than 150 fires have been reported.
Six areas have been put on high alert
Thousands of tourists and residents have been evacuated from towns north of the Greek capital.Helicopters and water bombers buzzed overhead.The military has also been brought in to fight the fires. Firefighters, planes and helicopters are already in the country or on the way from Cyprus, France, Sweden, Romania, Switzerland,Germany and Israel.
